All ABA Regular Bookstore and Provisional members are eligible for free admission to BookExpo America 2010 (from May 25 -27 at NYC's Javits Convention Center.) Registration is via the BEA website. BEA's hotel exclusively for ABA member booksellers, Manhattan's Park Central, offers special low rates. Learn more and get the access code to reserve a room. Two booksellers from each ABA member store can now make reservations for ABA's Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon. ABA's Day of Education, on May 25, at the Javits Center, offers 15 education sessions, roundtable discussions, and workshops on an array of topics, including the results of a brand-new survey of book-buying behavior, the latest on e-books, and a fresh look at alternative business models. >DETAILSIn addition to the three director candidates nominated by the ABA Board for this year's elections, any ABA bookstore member may submit a petition for a director candidate. Upon receipt of a valid petition, ABA's Nominating Committee will add the candidate's name to the director ballot to be sent to members by the end of March. Learn more. >DETAILS

Booksellers at all ABA member stores can now cast ballots to choose the winners of the 2010 Indies Choice Book Awards in eight categories -- Adult Fiction, Adult Nonfiction, Adult Debut, Young Adult, Middle Reader, New Picture Book, Most Engaging Author, and Picture Book Hall of Fame. ABA is holding 12 Booksellers Forums in March and April to provide booksellers in every region of the country with an opportunity to meet with ABA senior staff to share their ideas and to discuss issues of concern to the entire industry.
