DAYS LEFT to submit a comment letter to DOJ.

In an e-mail on Thursday, May 3, ABA CEO Oren Teicher urged member stores to use the public comment period, which lasts 60 days and ends June 25, to express their support for agency model pricing for e-books to the U.S. Department of Justice.

ABA’s Day of Education, sponsored by Ingram Content Group, will be Monday, June 4, at Javits. Tuesday, June 5, will feature the Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon and ABA's Town Hall and Annual Membership Meeting. And, new this year will be the ABC Children’s Group Institute, on Wednesday, June 6.

The first-ever American Booksellers Association ABC Children’s Institute will be held on Wednesday, June 6, at New York’s Javits Center during BookExpo America.

The one-day program focusing on children’s bookselling will offer educational sessions, roundtables, and special events and is open exclusively to booksellers at ABA member stores.  Registration is now booked to capacity; a waiting list is forming at kids.bookweb.org.

"Fire Up Your Imagination," a fun, new design for a bookmark and poster has just been added to ABA’s Bookseller DIY.

It, as well as 11 new spring designs for posters, web banners, and bookmarks, can be easily produced at local printers.

The new graphics promote spring book buying, as well as gift giving for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, books for kids, and vacation reading.
